This is an hour long drama i watched on BBC 3. I portrays a relief story of a teenager who gets tricked by a girl who lies to him about her boyfriend, who is leader in a gang, before they kill him. This piece has a non-linear narrative which shows the end at the beginning before showing the lead up to that moment. you see Shakilus collapsing, flash back to him in his everyday life getting more and more involved in the trouble that leads up to the stabbing.
At the beginning of the piece there is a piece to camera from Shakilus mum with her talking about how he got tricked and mislead. This has an almost documentary feel to it and i think helps emphasis the realistic feel to the drama cause you, the viewer, to feel that much more attached to Shakilus and sympathetic to his mum when he gets stabbed.
